1. How do I know my chances of immigration to Australia?
Our registered migration agents will carefully assess your eligibility to migrate before we accept your application. We only represent clients in processing their migration application after they have passed our preliminary assessment. 2. How long does it take to get the visa?
In most cases, the process may take 6-12 months for skilled visa categories. The waiting period mainly depends on the type of visa class you are applying under.

3. What's the total costs of the immigration application?
Our service fee is based on the visa class you are applying for and how much work your application needs. We will advise you the fees after the Preliminary Assessment. You will pay an upfront fee to begin the full services, a second instalment fee is payable before lodgement of the visa application, and the final payment is due close to the approval of your visa application. 4. Is it possible to find a job in Australia before migrating?
It is possible but extremely competitive and difficult without securing the correct visa.

5. I am not in Australia, can you still help me in my visa application?
Definitely. Many of our clients are living in countries other than Australia or Singapore while they apply for migration to Australia.

6. What are the basic requirements for migration under the skilled visa categories?
You should have a university degree, diploma or a trade certificate, vocational English, no less than 12 months work experience in the past 18 months (unless have obtained an Australian degree within the past 6 months), and no more than 45 years of age. 7. Who would be eligible to apply under the business and investment immigration visas?
Business owners and chief executives of a company may be eligible for business immigration. Usually, there is a two stage process involved , whereby if successful a provisional visa is granted for 4 years. Thereafter, you may apply for permanent residency if certain requirements are met. 8. If my application is denied, what can I do?
Our registered migration agent will examine your background carefully in the preliminary assessment before accepting your case.
If the visa office has questions or requires additional information regarding an application, we'll contact you to discuss the request. In the unlikely event that your application is denied, the applicant only pays up to the stage of the application.
You may also opt to appeal your case under certain circumstance. Please visit Procedure & Fees for more information. In sponsored categories these is an automatic right of appeal.

11. Do all documents have to be certified? Who can certify my documents? Most materials have to be certified or authorised as a true copy by a person whom a Statutory Declaration may be made (such authorised persons include a magistrate, Justice of the Peace, Commissioner for Declarations or a Commissioner for Affidavits). For your convenience, NTRUST will usually arrange for your documents to be certified on your behalf.

12. I would like to visit Australia before lodging a migration application, can you arrange that?
Yes. In fact, we would recommend that it is always wise to visit a place before making it your home!

13. Is settlement location important in assessing the application for migration?
In some visa categories, particularly for certain skilled and business migration categories, the Australia Federal Government and State Governments may have preferences of the location settlement.

14. Is my profession important in assessing my migration application?
Yes. Some occupations carry a higher score, 60 and some may only carry 40. Some qualifications may not be recognised in Australia even though your profession is eligible for a high credit.

15. How long it may take to get an Australian citizenship?
Minimum 2 years. You are required to stay in Australia for at least 2 years in the last 5 years AND you must live in Australia for at least 12 months in that last 2 years.

17. Is there any government assistance to new immigrants?
New immigrants have to wait 2 years to be eligible for full government benefits. But they will be eligible immediately to free medicare and domestic education fee similar to an Australian citizen. However, in special circumstances, you may be entitled to childcare, family allowance, and rental assistance.

18. How can I be eligible to apply for migration immediately after a course in Australia?
To be eligible for applying for a permanent residency visa, overseas students must complete a course of diploma level or higher in Australia for at least two academic years of full-time study. They have to apply for the visa within 6 months of completion of the course. Students in certain courses may stay and work in Australia while their application is being processed, others must leave Australia while their application in under consideration.

19. Why do Australian immigration policies change frequently, and how do I get updated information?
The immigration policies are often reviewed and changes are made at any time by the Minister. It may be based on how the immigration system is currently running or its effects on the Australian economy and employment status. Our consultants will keep our clients updated of any such changes or possible changes and the implication to his/her application.

20. Once my visa is approved, how long before must I move down?
Your arrival into Australia must be within a year from the date of your police and medical certificates. In general, you are to be in Australia between 6 to 12 months after obtaining your visa.

21. Will the immigration authorities help me in ensuring that my application is correct before applying?

22. Can the immigration authorities refuse my application?
Yes, they can. Application can be refused due to insufficient supporting documents or technical errors. The best way to prevent this would be to seek the professional advice of a migration consultant before lodging your application. 23. My migration agent has assessed me as being eligible for residency in Australia. If I apply without his or her help, can I be certain of success?
No. Although you might have been assessed as being eligible, you are not guaranteed of any success yet. You have to ensure that your appplication is prepared in conjunction with the existing legislations and submitted with the correct supporting documentary evidence, in order for your application to be approved by the immigration authorities. We strongly advise you to seek the assistance of our Registered Migration Agent.

24. What is a permanent resident?
It is the right and privilege for you to live and work in Australia. You are entitled to the state care as well, but you must be a resident in Australia for a minimum of 2 years before qualifying for social welfare assistance. You are not permitted to vote as a permanent resident in Australia. After 4 years, you can then apply for citizenship, entitling you to an Australian passport.

25. When I migrate, will I lose my current passport?
No, not necessarily. Firstly, you will enter Australia as a permanent resident which does not affect your current citizenship state. After 2 years, you can apply for Australian citizenship (but this is not obligatory). The Australian Government allows dual-nationality, so you could retain your current passport and obtain an Australian passport as well. However, you must check that your own country of citizenship allows dual-nationlity, as this right must be reciprocal. If not, you will need to surrender your other passport in order to become an Australian citizen.
